The Best Night’s Sleep
Having a great night’s sleep is key to my sanity. When I’m tired, I’m not myself. Here’s how I make sure I get a good sleep every night. Do a decent amount of exercise at some point during the day. You’ll be so exhausted by bedtime that you won’t be able to stay awake.
Eat dinner early in the evening. When I eat late, it feels like it’s a lot earlier, and not time to go to bed. Then my brain keeps going nuts until far too late.
I prefer to have a hot shower, if not a long bath before bed. It loosens up my muscles, helps to clear my skin and the steam makes me even sleepier. After a hot shower, I like to get into some comfy and cosy pyjamas.
I like to make myself a warm drink to sip when I get into bed. It makes me extra cosy.
Before bed, for at least 15minutes, I put down my phone and have a tech time out. I like to either listen to music, read a book, or just lie there. My brain begins to go to sleep and then I’ll drift off.
If all of that doesn’t work, try some relaxing scents. I use This Works Pillow Spray and Stress Less Oil. It really helps when I’m too alert to sleep.
