#TBRTakedown Read-a-thon | Goals

TBR Takedown Read-a-thon This week, starting tomorrow is the #TBRTakedown read-a-thon hosted by LeaningLights.

I'll be taking part and will try to finish each of the five challenges:

A book that's been on your TBR shelf over a year!

I'll be listening to the audiobook of The Duff by Kody Keplinger through Audible. According to my Goodreads, I have wanted to read this book since at least 2013. It should be a light listen, so that will be great. I'm quite keen to watch the movie after too, so I'm hoping it's a laugh. An unread sequel sitting on your TBR shelf.

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner, the sequel to The Maze Runner, is another I have been wanting to read for a while, but I'll be listening to this one as an audiobook to speed things along. I'm super keen to see what happens next in this series and kind of can't believe I didn't read it soon after I read the first. A first book in a series on your TBR shelf.

I have wanted to read the Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for a long time, but particularly since watching Sherlock, the TV series. A Study in Scarlet is the first book, so I'm wanting to start there. This is another audiobook for me. An "out of your comfort zone" book on le TBR shelf!

I have been a few chapters in to The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling for so long. It's out of my comfort zone mainly because there are so many characters to keep up with and I try to pay attention to them all since any could be the one I need to know about later. I'll be actually reading the book of this since I bought it soon after it came out. A book from your most recent book haul!

I have recently been sent Resistance is Futile by Jenny T. Colgan so I am hoping to get that finished so I can share my thoughts. I did start reading it in the week, but didn't get far, so I have all but two chapters of it to go.

I'll read Resistance is Futile, then The Casual Vacancy and listen to the audiobooks throughout the week in the car. Tomorrow is a public holiday so I'll have some time to read.

I'll be posting a few updates through the week on Twitter, so follow me there if you want to keep up with what I'm doing.
