Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Polish Review | EmmaLouisa.com

I’m one of those people that normal nail polish lasts only a few days. I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s just because they’re dry and brittle. On the other hand, I can’t get a gel manicure because the only time I tried, it came off after 3 days and completely ruined my nails as I tried to get it off.

Then comes the gel polish. It’s the combo of both, but at the same time, I don’t want to use a lamp. Where would I store that and where would I even buy one? So when I spotted this polish at Farmers, on a buy 1 get one half price offer too, I decided to give it a try. I figured it couldn’t hurt. Plus this colour is a dead ringer for OPI Planks a Lot (from the Pirates collection) or one of their normal shades so I knew I’d like the colour on me.

I put it on Sunday, it started to mildly chip at the cuticles on Wednesday and by Friday, I’d removed it since they’d started to look pretty crap. That’s basically twice as long as normal polish on me. So based on that theory, if you’re someone who normal polish lasts 6 days on, it’ll likely last 12. And considering I just applied it as usual, post-manicure, with a top coat, it wasn’t even an extra ordeal. I believe they’re the same price too, and when you buy them when there’s a deal, it’s an even better price.

Next time these are discounted, go for it, I think they’re great and am thinking of getting new colours when I they are.
